YEAR 2020

What a crazy year it’s been! This is what we’ve been up to in our little corner of the world:

Wally’s growing like crazy. His interests are always changing, but he’s been obsessed with all sorts of vehicles for a while now, especially trucks. One of the highlights of his week is waving to the garbage collectors on Thursday mornings and having them honk the horn for him. He loves going to the playground and playing the drums. He is also talking a lot and loves video-chatting with his grandparents to tell them stories about things that happen to him.

Ethan has been working from home since March. It’s challenging and he misses being in the classroom, but he’s grateful the be able to continue doing what he loves in a safe way.

I am pregnant with our second baby, due on December 19th!

It’s been extra easy to see the bad in the world this year, so here’s to hoping we can use this holiday season to spread kindness and love (but not germs!).

YEAR 2019

This has been a year full of learning and growing. Baby Wally is now Toddler Wally and he definitely acts the part. He’s so much fun, though, and keeps our lives exciting.

We got to take some cool trips this year. Wally is quite the little world traveler. In April we went to Mexico City and Puebla. We saw old friends and visited some really cool places.

Over the summer we went to Korea so that Wally could meet his great-grandmas and other family members. Since we were so close, we hopped over to stay in Tokyo for a week at the end of our trip. We loved Japan and hope to go back one day to explore more of that beautiful country.

Have a wonderful holiday season.

YEAR 2018

What a year!

We welcomed baby Wally to our family on May 1st and he's been a joy. Ethan is now in his third year at Washington-Lee High School and continues to love it. I’ve been working a lot less and instead focus on being a mom.

Here are some other highlights from 2018:

Ethan started working on an online program to get a degree in library sciences from The University of Alabama. So, we took a family road trip to Tuscaloosa for his orientation.

Baby and I traveled to Washington state with my mom & my sister. We had a great time visiting family and Wally did awesome on the plane rides.

For his 28th birthday, Ethan spent Spring Break in Bogotá, Colombia. More recently, he was able to go to Sololá, Guatemala with a medical team to help run local clinics.

We hope you had a wonderful 2018 and that 2019 is even better. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Davis family!
